ABOUT
KB is a Data Research Analyst in the Student Life Office and Office of Diversity, Equity, and at the MIT Sloan School of Management, one of the top-ranked business schools in the U.S. In this position, she collects, analyzes, and reports on data related to equal opportunity for faculty, staff, students, and community partners. Additionally, KB is a Research Assistant with the Apple Distinguished Schools program, working alongside Dr. Damian Bebell on global surveys (Personalized Learning in Complex Times (PLCT) and Teacher Wellbeing) and a new ADS Action Research course for K12 educators globally.
KB is also a PhD student in the Information Science program at the University at Buffalo (UB). Her research interests include human-computer interaction and information behavior of admissions evaluators and prospective students in the college admissions process.
Prior to these roles, KB was the Assistant Director for Admissions Evaluation at the MIT Sloan School of Management and as an Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions at the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry. She began her career as an Admissions Counselor at Le Moyne College where she advised prospective undergraduate students on college admission, financial aid, and career exploration.
KB graduated from Le Moyne College in 2017 with a bachelor of science degree in Psychology and a minor in Philosophy. As a Le Moyne student, she was a member of the women's golf team, serving as a captain in her junior and senior years, and she is still in the top 10 scores for women's golf at the college. She was actively involved in clubs and organizations across campus, including Student Government and was selected Student Commencement speaker for her class. In 2020, she received a master's degree in Public Administration and Policy from American University and proceeded to complete additional coursework in Data Analytics and Research Methods at Boston College. These courses included Econometrics, Higher Education Policy, and Predictive Analytics/Forecasting.
